Job Description:
The specific role of the Application Support Engineer will be to help improve our software deployment operations and customer support process.

Job Responsibilities:
As an Application Support Engineer, you will be collaborating with ROAMWORKS Software Engineers, Database Developers, Project Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and IT Engineers to troubleshoot operational aspects of ROAMWORKS software deployments at designated deployment sites. These deployment sites include in-house infrastructure and customer infrastructure sites. ROAMWORKS software deployment operations have two main categories: Production System Performance and Availability. You may have to work in one of the designated work-shifts (Day-shift or Night-shift).

As an Application Support Engineer, your primary responsibility is to fulfill tasks assigned to you accurately and within the required deadline. These tasks may arrive from customer service requests or your Supervisor.

The following are required responsibilities of this position:

  • Manage service requests using ROAMWORKS service desk application
    • Using this service desk application, you will:
      • Filter and Edit service requests
      • Enrich application support knowledge base and help integrate the knowledge into our Help & Training content for customers
      • Respond to service request sender regarding reported issues as clarification request, updates, and resolution
      • Escalate to higher level support engineer for service requests that you cannot resolve and have their priority and/or urgency raised
    • Schedule visits to deployment sites to perform one or more of the following application support activities:
      • Record sufficient hard data on symptoms and reproducibility of reported service requests from ROAMWORKS deployed solution
      • Record environment parameters from infrastructure change logs
      • Propose and apply a solution to service requests
      • Validation and Verification of applied solution to close service requests
      • Document working and non-working solution to application support knowledge base

Education/ Experience:

  • Diploma in Computer Engineering / Computer Science /Information Technology or equivalent

Required skills:

  • Communication and collaboration skills (verbal and written)
  • Object Oriented Programming
  • SQL Scripting
  • Shell Scripting
  • Microsoft Windows Administration

Qualifications:

Job Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineer, you will be collaborating with other ROAMWORKS Software Engineers, Project Engineers, Sales Associates and IT Engineers to help maintain the integrity of our software platform ROAM. Your primary responsibility is to fulfill tasks assigned to you accurately and within the required deadline. Tasks may include routine processes that maintain development and product integrity or emergency requests that are required by management.

The following are required responsibilities of this position:

  • Problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team, or individually
  • Developing new software components according to requirements
  • Maintain components of the software (monitoring the system, testing, bug fixing)
  • Extend existing programs by analyzing and identifying areas for modification
  • Investigating new technologies
  • Integration of new devices (in cooperation with electronics engineers)
  • Investigation of third party software and code libraries
  • Working closely with other staff, such as project managers, systems analysts, and the development team
  • Consulting clients/colleagues concerning the maintenance and performance of software systems

The specific role of the Systems Support Engineer will be to integrate and help steer the entire service lifecycle of our software solutions, from design through the development process and into production support. The position will require a mix of administration and/or operations knowledge as well as a deep understanding of various software development concepts, specifically DevOps.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Systems Support Engineer, you will be collaborating with ROAMWORKS Software Engineers, Database Developers, Project Engineers, and IT Engineers to setup and maintain software deployments at designated deployment sites. These deployment sites include in-house infrastructure and customer infrastructure sites.

Your primary responsibility is to fulfill tasks assigned to you accurately and within the required deadline. Tasks may include routine processes that maintain development and product integrity, emergency requests that are required by management, and/or contingency planning projects that steer company growth.

The following are required responsibilities of this position:

  • Research, plan and execute improvements to our deployment strategy
  • Improve our existing release cycle to help increase the time-to-market for certain features, enhancements and bug fixes
  • Improve failure rate of our software releases, where and when applicable
  • Work with the Service Desk team to shorten lead time of customer support tickets
  • Improve the quality assurance process of all ROAM releases for optimal performance of the system before/during/after a release
  • Routinely visit deployment sites to run routine maintenance procedures
  • Monitor deployed solutions and report on discrepancies via our quality assurance process
  • Develop, manage and communicate the progress reporting structure with the team, (Software, Hardware, IT, and Project teams)
  • Engineer automation scripts necessary for all ROAM deployments
  • Engineer automation scripts necessary for all deployed operations

Education/ Experience:

  • Diploma in Computer Engineering / Computer Science /Information Technology or equivalent

Required skills:
